We are looking for an experienced Insurance Account Handler to join our busy Manchester Office.
The ideal candidate will have previous Commercial Insurance Account Handling experience; however, full Jewellers Block training will be provided.
Main duties include:
* Successfully deal with new business enquiries and insurance renewals and provide a first-class service to clients by fulfilling their insurance requirements.
* Provide support and technical assistance to Account Executive and other staff within the Company.
* Handle day-to-day queries from clients and act as point of contact, building and maintaining relationships with clients, insurers, and other staff within the Company.
* Provide insurers and underwriters with accurate information to ensure they can assess each risk correctly.
* Liaise with colleagues to share information about the current insurance marketplace and assist them with any insurance queries.
* Assist with making appointments for surveys and renewals.
* Assist in preparing renewal packs for posting/emailing for Account Handlers to check.
* Webex – data input for renewals and new business.
* Assist with sanction and credit checks – need to know how done to cover if others are off work.
* Assist with processing endorsements in the policy administration system.
* Dealing with incoming post/cheques and outgoing post – franking and taking it to the post office.
* Housekeeping of our computer files – ensure emails are correctly labelled.
* Assist with issuing endorsements for Underwriters.
* Provide claims assistance when required, all within agreed timescales.
We offer full training support and sponsorship to gain industry professional qualifications, and there is a contractual requirement to gain the Certificate in Insurance qualification within a 15-month period. You will receive a financial bonus award upon completion.
This role is 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm with a 1-hour lunch.
