CareerMakers Recruitment are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager on behalf of our client based in Altham, BB5.The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset and oversee the overall manufacturing process within the company. Responsibilities Oversee the planning and organisation of the production/manufacturing processes. Complete regular stock checks to ensure the correct equipment and materials are available for projects. Conduct regular inspections to ensure production machinery are operational and efficient. Prepare cost estimates and budget required for a manufacturing proposal. Ensure production complies with established quality control specifications and standards. Monitor and supervise the activities of the production team to ensure effective performance of job duties. Assign work schedules and tasks to technical employees. Ensure the manufacturing and production team comply with set health and safety policies when carrying out job duties. Analyse and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or issues. Oversee the purchases of raw materials and equipment required for manufacturing. Complete regular quality assessments to ensure product quality and specification are consistent. Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement, engineering, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues. Develop and implement strategies to optimise production efficiency, reduce costs and improve product quality Skills Proven experience in operations management. Strong leadership abilities. Exceptional problem-solving skills and analytical thinking. Proficient in project management methodologies and tools. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively. Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis is advantageous.
