Step Teachers are working with a Secondary School in the Tavistock area and they're currently seeking a Music Teacher for a Long-Term Maternity cover role which will potentially last till December 2025. This school believes that all students will acquire an understanding of their subjects and gain mastery of a body of subject-specific knowledge that is defined. This role is set to start in January 2025.
Music Teacher – Role:
* Strong knowledge of the Music curriculum.
* Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources, instruments, and equipment.
* Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
* Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
* The Music Teacher must be able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons.
* Compliance with the school's policies and the reliable implementation of these.
Music Teacher – Requirements:
* Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification.
* Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Music Teacher in a Secondary School setting.
* Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
* A relevant Music-related degree is desirable.
£30000 - £55000 per year PAYE - based on experience
