Our client is now looking for a Production Project Manager.

Job Overview
The Production Project Manager will oversee and manage multiple client projects, ensuring all aspects of production are handled efficiently, from initial briefing to final delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of retail displays, exhibitions, point-of-sale (POS) projects, and joinery, along with excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
1. Project Management:
o Receive design briefs and provide detailed quotes, timelines, and production plans.
o Attend initial project meetings to discuss strategy and offer expert advice.
o Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Supplier Collaboration:
o Identify and manage external suppliers for outsourced work.
o Ensure outsourced goods meet required specifications, quality standards, and deadlines.
o Conduct site visits to monitor outsourced production quality.
3. Production Oversight:
o Lead daily and weekly meetings to brief the production team and set clear targets.
o Provide comprehensive project details to ensure accurate execution by the production team.
4. Installation and Site Surveys:
o Attend site surveys and installations when required, ensuring projects are executed smoothly on-site.
5. Staff Management and Training:
o Manage and motivate staff, maintaining high morale and productivity.
o Organize and document staff training to ensure team members meet production standards.
6. Quality Control:
o Oversee quality control processes at every stage of production.
o Conduct final inspections and approve all goods before dispatch.
7. Dispatch and Logistics:
o Ensure finished goods are prepared for packing and dispatched on schedule.
o Coordinate with the packing team to confirm proper packaging and readiness for collection.
8. Budget and Resource Management:
o Monitor project budgets to ensure profitability and adherence to initial quotes.
o Use HOST admin tools to track and manage project finances effectively.
9. Materials and Stock Management:
o Order materials to specification, ensuring they are fit for purpose.
o Maintain organized stock control with adequate levels of materials for seamless production.
Required Skills and Experience
* Retail Display Expertise: Extensive experience in retail display manufacturing and installation.
* Workshop Knowledge: At least 5 years of experience working in a workshop environment, with familiarity across departments such as CNC, bench work, and spray shops.
* Project Management Tools: Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools.
* Spreadsheet Software: Advanced knowledge of Excel, Numbers, or equivalent spreadsheet programs.
* Communication: Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism and clarity.
* Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to quality control and project delivery.
