Job Description
As a Bookkeeper, you will play a pivotal role in handling day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for individuals and companies. From managing VAT returns to providing exceptional customer service, you will be at the forefront of supporting our clients and ensuring their financial success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with a wide variety of clients, ensuring their needs are met and their businesses thrive.
2. Implement Xero and other 'app stacks' for clients to streamline their processes and improve efficiency.
3. Deliver accurate and timely management information, ensuring our clients are always informed.
4. Assist in the production of monthly accounts and reports, reconciling balance sheet and P&L accounts with precision.
5. Prepare and post journals for payroll, prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets to ensure financial accuracy.
6. Conduct bank reconciliations, ensuring all financial data is up to date.
7. Manage accounts payable (including expenses and credit cards) and accounts receivable, ensuring smooth cash flow.
8. Prepare weekly and monthly supplier payments while overseeing credit control.
9. Be proactive in finding ways to make our clients' lives easier by helping their businesses grow through smart financial solutions.
Key Requirements
AAT Level 2 or above qualified, or equivalent experience, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

1. A passion for delivering outstanding client service, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
2. Love and knowledge of technology- Excel and accountancy apps.
3. Excellent attention to detail.
4. Xero/Sage experience desirable.
5. A desire to learn and develop.
