Role summary
Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the job holder provides relevant health and safety advice and guidance to stakeholders and maintains health and safety systems. The job holder will support colleagues, contractors, tenants and productions to ensure that obligations under health and safety legislation are met, while aligning to Group policies and procedures. Where necessary, and as appropriate, the job holder will refer or escalate matters to the Health and Safety Manager.
This role is based within Health, Safety, Fire and Compliance and works closely with other compliance roles, including sustainability.
Although based primarily at the Shepperton site, the job holder may be required to work from the Pinewood site from time to time as required by the Health and Safety Manager.
Principle accountabilities
1. Promote excellent health and safety standards by advising and supporting employees, tenants and productions on their collective and specific health and safety duties
2. Remain up to date with relevant cases and changes in health and safety legislation
Maintain compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations
3. Ensure adequate control of contractors. This includes the provision of support and governance of internal and external stakeholders with their obligations, as necessary
4. Within limitations of competence, conduct health and safety risk assessments and develop action plans to mitigate identified risk, including COSHH assessments
5. Assist in the maintenance of the Group’s risk assessment programme
6. Carry out / assist with regular workplace inspections / health and safety audits as required, coordinating emergency preparedness
7. Assist with Incident Investigation; informing, recording and escalating uncontrolled risks as necessary
8. Assist the Health and Safety Manager with the management, communication and record keeping of all health and safety matters
9. Supportively challenge unsafe behaviours on site and educate / escalate as required
Nature and scope
The Health and Safety Advisor role will primarily be responsible for helping the Group to meet its health and safety obligations by supporting the Health and Safety Manager and wider Compliance Team.
The job holder must be proactive and prioritise their own workload which may include, but is not limited to, such activities as planning for risk assessment reviews, health and safety training, review of contractor and production RAMS, inspections and inductions.
This role works within a complex environment made up of numerous internal and external stakeholders. The job holder must be able to effectively communicate and prioritise demands based on risk and business priorities and in consultation with the Health and Safety Manager.

Essential criteria
10. NEBOSH General Certificate
11. P405 Management of Asbestos*
12. Member of IOSH, IIRSM or other relevant membership
13. Experience as a Health and Safety Advisor
14. Experience of managing asbestos
15. Control of contr¬actors experience
16. COSHH risk assessment
17. Specialist knowledge of health and safety legislation including codes of practice, theoretical knowledge and relevant working experience
18. Construction and CDM Regulations
19. Control of Asbestos Regulations
20. Excellent communication skills
21. Good organisational skills
22. Calm under pressure
23. Demonstrates discretion when dealing with high profile or confidential information
24. Maintains awareness of relevant legislation and updates
25. Able to commute reliably between Shepperton and Pinewood sites

29. Experience in film, TV and media industry
