Key Purpose:
This post offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in leading Chiltern Hills Academy towards becoming an outstanding Academy. The Assistant Principal will be responsible to the Vice Principal and will work alongside the senior leadership team in defining, articulating, and implementing the shared vision and values of the Academy through effective communication and engagement with all stakeholders. It is expected that the Assistant Principal will demonstrate outstanding leadership skills working under the direction of the Vice Principal on the implementation of the strategic aims of the Academy. They will work with individuals and groups to ensure the provision of a high-quality education for all our students.
Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to provide outstanding leadership and management.
2. Develop and implement strategies to promote inclusion and diversity within the Academy.
3. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students with additional needs.
4. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of inclusion policies and practices.
5. Provide professional development and training for staff on inclusive practices.
6. Foster a positive and inclusive school culture that celebrates diversity and promotes equality.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Proven experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
2. Strong understanding of inclusion and diversity principles.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. In-depth knowledge of SEN policies and practices.
5. Ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
6. Commitment to continuous professional development.
