What you’ll do Assist guests with check-in and check-out during night shifts. Handle room service orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to guest rooms. Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of public areas, including the lobby, gym, and other shared spaces. Ensure the car park area is clean and well-maintained. Perform gritting in the car park and entrance areas during colder weather conditions. Respond to guest requests and resolve any issues in a professional and timely manner. Monitor and maintain security throughout the hotel during the night shift. Assist with luggage handling and storage when required. Set up and prepare conference rooms or other areas for events or meetings as needed. Provide general support to the front office and night team as necessary. Ensure all health and safety standards are met in all work areas. What we’re looking for Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred, but not essential. A night owl, ideally a person used to working nights A warm, people-oriented demeanour A team-first attitude Positive outlook and outgoing personality Flexibility, problem-solving skills and multi-tasking ability – the team is smaller on nights which results in quick thinking, decision making and working together Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Attention to detail with a strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene. Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and holidays. Friendly and approachable demeanor with a focus on providing exceptional guest service. Basic computer skills for check-in/out and room service systems. Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items, as required. Ability to work in outdoor conditions when maintaining the car park and performing gritting tasks.
