ATA Recruitment are working closely with a global leader that provides state-of-the-art engineering solutions for industries such as petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, food, energy, water, mining, and aerospace.
This is a perfect opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join a global business renowned for their engineering prowess and innovative products. The successful Graduate Internal Sales Engineer will work closely with industry experts and will be provided with hands-on product training on site and with regular training courses at their company headquarters in Germany.
The Role
As a Graduate Internal Sales Engineer, you will be an integral part of the applications and sales team. With regular interactions with existing and potential clients, you will provide the best solution service to your customers.
Some of the duties will include:
Handling Enquiries:
* Respond to customer enquiries and manage repeat orders.
* Provide technical support and product information to customers.
Quotations and Pricing:
* Prepare and issue quotations based on customer requirements.
* Take operating conditions into account (shaft, size, speed) for accurate pricing.
* Update the CRM system with pricing and order details.
Order Processing:
* Process purchase orders and ensure all details are accurately recorded.
* Coordinate with external sales to provide necessary details for order fulfilment.
Product Selection and Compatibility:
* Assist in product selection based on customer needs and application requirements.
* Analyse material compatibility for various industrial applications.
Workshop Tasks:
* Perform hands-on tasks such as inspection reports, stripping down equipment, and failure analysis.
* Gain practical experience in the workshop to understand product functionality and maintenance.
Customer Interaction:
* Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any issues.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
Training and Development:
* Participate in extensive training programs, including peer-to-peer learning and shadowing senior staff.
* Attend training courses at the Germany head office, typically three times a year for 2-3 days.
The Candidate
To be successful in your application as a Graduate Internal Sales Engineer, you will need:
* Confidence and good communication skills.
* Eagerness to learn and progress.
* Hands-on experience with sound engineering principles.
* Graduate to 2 years’ experience.
