By servicing our Customers, Customers, Inspection Services are a trusted business partner of many large manufacturer and leasing companies.Scope of Role: Reporting to the Transport & Planning Manager you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Transport department and management of the team members within it. The Manheim Inspections Transport Division successfully co-ordinate the timely movement of 140,000 vehicles per annum, from hub sites to sale locations, between auction locations and dealer deliveries. All movements utilising Manheim Logistics, internal resource and multiple 3rd party logistics providers. Key responsibilities Manage the Transport Team Members in line with Cox Automotive guidelines, ensuring regular 1-2-1’s and check ins are completed. Efficient and effective management of the Transport Team including Booking of vehicle movements within agreed customer SLA’s Reporting on WIP (Work in progress movements) Supporting the team with managing bespoke customer process’s such as Key 4 Key movements & implementation of new accounts / processes Ensure all systems are accurately updated with POC/POD information Customer communications both internal and external maintained at a high standard and completed within SLA. Monitoring costs to move vs income received and presenting to Transport and Planning Manager Effective planning of EV movements to ensure the most cost-effective routes have been taken when allocating a vehicle to either a subcontractor or in house resource taking into consideration miles travelled, current charge, vehicle range, hubs, requirement to charge on route etc. Additional support to the Team as and when required (absences, peak times, etc.) Stock control in MIS Hub Storage Locations alongside capacities reporting Reporting : Bespoke reporting for Transport / Arrivals / KPIS / Suppliers / ADHOC Reporting Objectives for Role: Responsibilities Direct responsibility for the management of MIS Transport Team Ownership of Transport practices, and performance Transport activities; regularly review costs and revenues within the department alongside the Transport & Planning manager to ensure the organization optimise financial opportunity.
