About the Position We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager – Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance for a newly established EHS consulting operation based in the United Kingdom. As the Senior Project Manager - EHS Compliance you will play a pivotal role within our expanding EHS Team. Your primary responsibilities will be supporting multinational clients across various industries, including manufacturing, technology, food & beverage, bio-pharma, and chemical, in the development, implementation, and management of their global EHS programs and leading project teams on a variety of assignments including: auditing and compliance, legal registers, EHS management systems, environmental permitting, work plan/proposal preparation, risk based corrective action report writing and review, and regulatory interaction, design and implementing corrective action. To be successful in this role, individuals must demonstrate: Excellent internal and external communication skills, both written and verbal Solid organizational skills including multi-tasking, prioritization, and delegation Ability to coordinate and steward internal and third-party resources Proficient use of tools to measure and manage project performance (full training will be given) Understanding of risk management (contract review, project documentation, etc.) Commitment to quality deliverables and superior customer experience Continued development of technical skills Ability to support marketing and sales accountabilities of Account Leaders Ability to promote and exemplify firm values and foster a professional, inclusive culture Flexibility and willingness to travel as required PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Degree in Environment, Health & Safety or related field. 8 years or more of applicable EHS experience Be chartered or working to chartership with a relevant UK/Ireland institution NEBOSH Diploma or General Certificate (or similar) in health and safety. Consideration may be given to appropriate industry experience in lieu of formal health and safety qualifications. Must have a deep understanding of applicable environmental legislation Experience in environmental auditing, permitting, regulatory compliance, and due diligence Ability to evaluate, establish, and communicate project scope, schedule, and budget, and hold self and project teams accountable for meeting these matrices. Ability to delegate to and mentor junior team members to aid in their professional development. Must have a strong desire to develop and lead a team, and directly interface with multiple clients and stakeholders. Additionally, must be able to take direction and coaching from both clients and team members. Excellent management, planning, organizational skills, and effective time management are a must Experience driving projects through regulatory programs and engaging with regulators Managing sub-contractors including bid spec development, contracting and insurance/safety review, project award and field supervision; Membership of Relevant Professional Body preferred. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Our newly established EHS consulting operation in the United Kingdom will be supported by our sister company, Antea Group USA. This position will be a hybrid role, being primarily homebased with periodic travel required to other A ntea Group offices or client premises in the United Kingdom. Some project locations will require overnight travel (up to 25%). The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
