So, if you’re up for the challenge we’d love to hear from you About The Role As Board Secretary, you will coordinate and provide high-level administrative and secretarial support to the Trusts Chair and Board of Directors. You will ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, facilitate decision-making, and maintain accurate Board records. You will act as a liaison between the Board, Executive Leadership Team, and a range of stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Schedule and coordinate Board, Committee and other meetings: assisting in creating meeting agenda. Work to ensure wider participation and engagement in meetings in line with agenda topics. Record accurate minutes during Board and Committee meetings, maintaining official records. Ensure compliance with relevant policy, processes and governance principles. Facilitate communication between Board members, Executive Leadership Team, and relevant stakeholders. Assist in special projects and the preparation of reporting packs on Board activities, achievements, and progress. Coordinate Board member orientation and training sessions to enhance their understanding of the organisation's operations and responsibilities. Manage the Board's calendar and follow up on action points from previous meetings. Develop and maintain appropriate forward plans aligned to the priorities of the Trust. Collaborate with various internal departments to collect necessary reports and data for board meetings and information dissemination. Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive board information. Work in partnership and when appropriate provide cover for the Executive Business Support Manager. About You Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a similar organisation or Trust working with Exec / Non-Exec Directors. Familiarity with corporate governance principles and legal requirements in the UK. Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in relevant software tools for meeting management and documentation. Meticulous approach and ability to work independently while handling confidential information. Demonstrate knowledge of the organisation's mission and objectives.
