Job vacancies: Production Planning Co-ordinator
Your role
We are recruiting a Planning Co-Ordinator to join our Planning team in Rotherham. This is an exciting opportunity to join Cepac to contribute and support our ongoing success and future expansion plans.
Reporting directly to the Senior Planning Manager, the main responsibilities of the role are to:
* Complete the daily machine loadings.
* Create, sequence, and issue corrugator programs.
* Arrange KIWI converter line ups by changing priorities and entering load times to suit transport.
* Monitor plant loading and quote delivery dates to the sales team.
* Check shortfalls with sales and schedule make-ups.
* Liaise with despatch to optimise trailer utilisation.
* Maintain shifts, space savers and PPMs in the KIWI system.
* Check, order, and issue baseboards.
* Order and program sample board for design.
* Assist to control the outstanding stock.
* Produce shift by shift production reports including efficiencies and graphs and the daily production stats for meetings and waste figures.
* Conduct daily and monthly chemical checks (and bale counts) and reorder to minimum stock levels.
* Ensure Corrugator and Convertor feedback is up to date and accurate.
* Complete monthly paper stock-take and update the system.
* Attend daily morning meeting when required.
* Provide cover for paper purchasing including controlling stock levels, weekly forecasting for forward orders, placing orders, monthly stock takes and monitoring supplier performance.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working in a planning/production scheduling team, good numeracy skills with an excellent eye for detail, strong communication skills both written and verbal, a high level of initiative and self-motivation, and the ability to multi-task whilst remaining organised and efficient with experience of using Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
The role is office-based in Rotherham, Monday to Friday, 6am to 2.30pm and 11.30am to 8pm (alternate weeks) with weekend working to support the production team.
