Venator is currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Accountant to join the finance team at the Greatham site.
The overall purpose of the Assistant Site Accountant role is to support the Site Financial Controller in the management and reporting of all financial activities of the Greatham site, including all aspects of finance operations, performance, and control.
Job responsibilities include:
1. Support the monthly, quarterly and annual financial results accurate reporting on time, with specific focus on stocks.
2. Maintain all appropriate controls, particularly SoX, IFRS and Internal Audit.
3. Support the submission of all financial forecasts accurately, on time and with appropriate explanation, with focus on direct costs.
4. Maintain all site inventory valuations for both finished product and work in process by ensuring accurate product costing standards.
5. Provide effective site controlling guidance to optimize decision making, minimize cost base and maximize cash flow.
6. Interface with both Internal and External Auditors.
7. Provide monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts with explanations.
8. Ad hoc support to the site on the purchase to pay process including raising purchase requisitions/service entry sheets and resolving issues.
9. Organize and attend all appropriate physical stock checks to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with Corporate controls.
10. Live and demonstrate behaviours that drive a positive values-based culture.
Candidate requirements:
Job-Related work experience, Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
11. Part qualified accountant working towards full qualification.
12. Strong technical and analytical skills.
13. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
14. In depth experience using MS Excel.
15. Experience of using SAP would be an advantage.
