French and Spanish Teacher Required - Secondary School in Wandsworth A vibrant and ambitious secondary school in the diverse borough of Wandsworth is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated French and Spanish Teacher. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025. The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching both French and Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key responsibilities of this role include: Planning and delivering engaging and interactive lessons that inspire students to develop their language skills and cultural understanding in both languages. Creating a supportive and communicative classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence in using French and Spanish. Employing a variety of teaching methodologies and resources, including authentic materials and technology, to enhance language acquisition and cultural awareness in both languages. Assessing and monitoring student progress in both French and Spanish, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to the needs of all learners. Contributing to the development and enrichment of the French and Spanish curricula and participating in departmental and whole-school initiatives. The Successful Candidate will have: A degree in French, Spanish, or a related field with strong competence in both languages. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 French and Spanish curricula. Near-native fluency in both French and Spanish. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. A passion for language education and a commitment to fostering students' linguistic competence and cultural understanding.
