MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
* To lead, motivate engage and coach the Team.
* Be an advocate for health and safety/environmental matters ensuring risks are minimised and preventative actions are in place.
* Ensure quality of product is of the highest level and where defects are identified work closely with the teams to ensure preventative actions are taken.
* Lead communications within your area and be a change agent for Tier 2 delivery.
* Provide clear expectations to direct reports and ensure they have the resources, training and developmental opportunities including timely and meaningful appraisals through the PPP process to ensure motivation and effective performance.
* Manage team performance ensuring any potential operational or team conflict is dealt with promptly and consistently, liaising with HR.
* Work with Head of Operations for resource and labour within the Value Stream to ensure production is not compromised.
* Drive CI and Lean initiatives within the Team, continually improving processes and embedding change management across the Value Streams.
* Compile figures for reporting and attend all relevant meetings, escalating any issues in a timely manner.
* Work with cross functional departments to ensure targets for efficiency, costs and on time delivery are met.
* Ensure policies and processes are followed with a fair and consistent approach.
* Ensure all actions are in line with NB Leadership Competencies and NB Core Values.
