Nice job Nice friendly team and the role is a result of business success as the company expands…so a good reason to join TITLE : Procurement Manager Salary : £50,000 benefits Work Style: Flexible work culture and hybrid after agreed training period Location : Reading Sector : Automotive and manufacturing : Spare parts Aim of the role This is a brand new role: To oversee the procurement process ensuring that goods and services are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively Duties Liaising with suppliers based in Europe evaluating service levels and maintaining relationships Negotiating contracts and ensuring suppliers meet quality and delivery standards Overseeing the Procurement Strategy Leading on RFQ and tendering process Ensuring compliance with regulations Cost Management and monitoring budgets Exploring cost-saving opportunities Doing market research and looking at price trends and competitive pricing Inventory Control and manage stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking Team Leadership: mentoring the team (10 people) Liaising with demand planners to forecast demand and plan purchases Reporting and Analytics: Creating reports that include cost savings and supplier performance Required Skills Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards regarding import and export regulations Team Management experience Certifications for CIPS ideally ( or similar )
