Admin Officer
Location: Milton Keynes

Pay Rate: £15.22 per hour
Contract Duration: Initial contract until September 2025

We are currently recruiting for an Admin Officer to provide business support within the Strategy, Performance & Governance team for our government client. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of the wider Services while gaining exposure to a variety of tasks across different business areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain contractor database, ensuring contract staff are compliant and requisition data is accurate.
* Receipt contractor timesheets and ensure timely invoice payments.
* Administer mobile communication assets, manage orders, returns, and maintain the asset register.
* Support business areas with compliance, provide reminders, and act as a point of contact for queries.
* Manage information integrity as an Information Asset Administrator, adhering to Services policies and legal requirements.
* Act as Requisitioner, processing purchase orders in line with the Purchase2Pay process.
* Handle Government Procurement Card purchases, ensuring compliance with policy.
* Liaise with departments for recruitment and purchasing queries and resolve issues to improve processes.
* Ensure recruitment, assurance, and procurement data is managed and complies with retention schedules.
* Provide secretarial support to meetings and boards.
* Manage workload to meet business-critical deadlines and take part in Continual Service Improvement activities.
* Review Group mailboxes and allocate emails to relevant colleagues.
* Gather and compile management information for data packs.
* Engage with colleagues to ensure compliance and understanding of business requirements.
* Provide ad-hoc administrative and secretariat support as needed.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Excellent planning and organisational skills.
* Strong IT skills, with experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and M365 (Sharepoint).
* Proactive, flexible, and resilient with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
* General administration experience with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
