My client is a specialist engineering company who provide complex, turn-key solutions for the space sector, including applications in astrophysics, accelerators, lasers, and nuclear fusion.
In this role you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of technical budgets, requirements definition, test planning and execution, and overall management of the systems engineering process. Definition of architectures (mechanical, electrical, fluidic...) Lead the systems engineering and design to meet the technical systems and requirements.
Ensure compliance to our quality standards (EN9100) and/or ECSS and/or tailored PA Plan.
Responsible for the project delivery on-time and on-budget, with the support of the Head of Operations for overall resources management and working closely with the CTO and the rest of your colleagues on the technical team.
Technical & line management of other project, mechanical, design, manufacturing and analysis engineers.
Definition, implementation of the development and verification approach, producing corresponding documentation, i.e. design, development & verification plans, design reports, ICD, VCD, test plans, etc.
Overview of the whole product lifecycle, from design to fabrication, through assembly, integration and tests.
BS in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related field.
~Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
~ Bonus: Experience in GNC, Electronics, or Software.
