About the Role:

Our client is looking for a highly motivated Supervising Social Worker to join their Fostering Team, providing crucial support to foster carers and ensuring that the children in their care thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

You will work collaboratively with foster carers, children, and professionals, ensuring that children receive the care and support they need to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide direct supervision and support to a caseload of foster carers, helping them deliver high-quality care for children.
* Conduct regular visits and assessments to ensure the welfare and progress of children in placement.
* Work closely with foster carers to identify training needs and support their professional development.
* Attend and contribute to fostering panels, care reviews, and multi-agency meetings.
* Ensure all documentation and records are maintained in accordance with legislative requirements and local policies.
* Participate in the recruitment, assessment, and approval of new foster carers.
* Offer advice and guidance on complex cases, drawing on your professional expertise to support foster carers in managing challenging situations.
About You:
We are seeking a compassionate and organised social worker who thrives in a team environment and is committed to promoting positive outcomes for children in foster care. You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with foster carers, children, and professionals alike.
* Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work (or equivalent qualification) recognised by Social Work England.
* Current registration with Social Work England.
* Demonstrated experience working with children and families, ideally within a fostering or looked-after children’s team.
* A thorough understanding of the Fostering Regulations (2011), National Minimum Standards, and relevant legislation.
* Strong assessment and report-writing skills, with an eye for detail.
* Ability to manage a varied caseload while meeting deadlines and targets.
* A commitment to continued professional development, with a proactive approach to learning and training.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
