As part of the expansion of our Homecare services, we are looking to appoint a enthusiastic Pharmacy Homecare Officer to work as a key part of the Homecare team in Pharmacy across both of the Bedfordshire Hospital sites, liaising with Homecare providers, clinical teams and Pharmacy colleagues to ensure a consistent supply of high-risk medication to patients' homes. This role involves activities related to management of Homecare prescriptions and generating orders for these via Homecare providers used by the Trust using the Pharmacy computer systems. If you are interested in this post, you will need experience of working to deadlines and managing own workload to meet the needs of a service and be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.You must be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for trying new roles and delivering an excellent patient experience. Main duties of the job 1. To carry out a range of duties associated with the ordering/receipt and invoicing of medicines provided through Homecare medicine providers using the Pharmacy computer systems across sites.2. To maintain relevant databases related to all aspects of Homecare medicines provision and provide appropriate reports as required.3. To carry out a range of duties associated with ordering/receipt and invoicing of pharmaceutical items to cover absences in the Pharmacy Procurement team, as required, using the Pharmacy computer system.
