Inclusive Consulting is excited to partner with an industry leading UK organisation. We are recruiting an experienced Credit Control Manager to join their team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing credit control team, drive efficiencies, and play a key role in optimising cash flow and minimising bad debts.
Role Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and manage the credit control team to achieve departmental goals and KPIs.
* Develop and implement strategies to minimise bad debts and improve cash flow.
* Monitor and review outstanding accounts, ensuring timely and effective collection of overdue payments.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure prompt payment and resolve any disputes.
* Work closely with internal departments such as sales, finance, and customer service to ensure smooth collaboration.
* Develop and enforce credit policies and procedures to mitigate risk.
* Perform regular credit assessments of new and existing customers to set appropriate credit limits.
* Prepare and present reports on accounts receivable, aged debt, and collection performance to senior management.
* Train, mentor, and develop the credit control team to support their professional growth.
* Resolve escalated customer issues and implement solutions to reduce bad debts.
Person Specification
* Proven experience as a credit control manager or in a similar role.
* Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and motivating a team.
* Ability to analyse data, assess risks, and implement strategies to improve cash flow.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
