Description
The IT Support Engineer role, reporting to the IT Service Manager, is a crucial technical support position within the IT department. You will be on the front lines of desktop support, ensuring smooth daily operations across the studio. This role involves working directly with users to prevent and resolve IT issues, and occasionally assisting the IT Service Manager and other members in the IT team with server and engineering-related tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide first-line technical support to users.
* Administer and manage user accounts in systems like Office 365, Perforce, and Atlassian tools.
* Ensure smooth operation of computer systems and maximize user efficiency.
* Set up workspaces and high-end hardware for new team members and visitors.
* Maintain the asset inventory and process new hardware upon arrival.
* Troubleshoot and resolve hardware or software issues.
* Replace or upgrade computer components when needed.
* Provide support through a Helpdesk ticketing system and other communication tools like Teams.
* Set up new user accounts and install necessary software.
* Assist the IT team with higher-level project and engineering tasks as required.
* Maintain IT equipment in meeting rooms.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a technical support role.
* Proficiency in using PowerShell to manage Office 365
* Experience with GSuite/Office 365 migrations.
* Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
* Ability to research and solve issues independently.
* Experience building desktop-grade gaming machines from scratch.
* Strong customer service focus.
* Knowledge of basic networking concepts and topologies.
* Technical familiarity with Windows-based operating systems.
* Exposure to Linux and MacOS is a plus.
