A client of ours in the Chelmsford area are recruiting an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This is a 6-month maternity contract working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm and paying £30,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience. After a successful induction this role will be hybrid, working 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your key duties include but are not limited to:
1. Daily transactional processing
2. Balance sheet reconciliations
3. Daily bank reconciliation
4. Account analysis
5. Business assistance
6. Update cash flow
7. Month end analysis
8. Ad hoc work purchase ledger
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Accounts Assistant position:
9. Excellent communication skills as this role will require liaising with suppliers and external offices.
10. Strong Excel skills
11. Experience with accruals and prepayments.
12. Experience in working in a fast-paced environment.
13. AAT accountancy qualified desirable but not essential.
