Eating Disorder Workshops and Education Coordinator
First Steps Ed are looking for a passionate and organised Workshops and Education Coordinator who will provide effective delivery of First Steps ED's suite of workshops, self-help guided resources and CPD professional training. First Steps ED provide person-centred support to our service users for a range of eating disorders.
You will have the ability to manage the delivery and content provision of the workshops and coordinate with the wider teams on the facilitation of our workshops.
Main duties of the job
1. Lead and coordinate the full suite of workshops and CPD training at First Steps ED including: Service Workshops, School workshops, professional CPD, and professional training.
2. Deliver face-to-face and virtual workshop and training content to external organisations, ensuring the provision of in-person workshops and training as required.
3. End to end management of external enquiries process, regarding workshops and professional training ensuring timely responses, booking, and service delivery.
4. Engage with other professionals and raise awareness of our service.
5. Ensure workshop and CPD services are well-planned and promoted to the relevant organisations to maximise intake of the commissioned services available.
6. Analyse data and write reports for our wider team and All Services Director.
7. Coordinate logistics for workshops, including scheduling and materials preparation.
8. Represent Workshops and Education at First Steps ED and attend relevant meetings and professional activities by agreement with the line manager and All Ages Services Director.
Full training and support will be provided for this role. This role will require you to travel 25% of the time for face-to-face workshops at various locations of our service areas within Derby/Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Nottingham.

Job responsibilities
The Workshops and Education Coordinator will lead and organise the effective delivery of First Steps ED's suite of workshops, self-help guided resources and CPD professional training. They will manage the delivery, content, and provision of these services, both in-person and online, alongside supporting staff and volunteers.
The post holder will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team and managing a team that includes clinical and non-clinical colleagues from referring organisations and colleagues from across our organisation.
The post holder will have at least two years' experience of working with people with eating disorders and/or mental health difficulties and at least 1 year of supporting a multidisciplinary team.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Lead and coordinate the full suite of workshops and CPD training at First Steps ED including: Service Workshops, School workshops, professional CPD, and professional training.
2. Deliver face-to-face and virtual workshop and training content to external organisations, ensuring the provision of in-person workshops and training as required.
3. End to end management of external enquiries process, regarding workshops and professional training ensuring timely responses, booking, and service delivery.
4. Facilitate supervision of a team of staff and volunteers to support the delivery of workshop and CPD services as required, including training and delivery support.
5. Contribute to the development of both current and new workshops and professional training resources to ensure content is accurate and up-to-date.
6. Manage referrals for support service Workshops to ensure timely and accurate information is provided to enable access to this support.
7. Liaise with First Steps MDT and external community teams to contribute towards decision making, helping to ensure an inclusive approach is always maintained to referrals.
8. Develop a rapport with stakeholders to promote our workshop and professional training services within First Steps ED.
9. Ensure workshop and CPD services are well-planned and promoted to the relevant organisations to maximise intake of the commissioned services available.
10. Positively promote the service by participating in community activities and working with other local services, contributing to a greater understanding of disordered eating, eating disorders, and body image.
11. Safeguard and ensure the quality of care of the service user and where appropriate parents/carers.
12. Undertake risk assessment and risk management for service users, working in collaboration with other care team members to manage risks identified.
Training and Supervision
1. Provide regular peer-to-peer training and supervision to all those supporting workshop and training delivery.
2. Attend Continuing Professional Development opportunities and contribute to the training of staff and volunteers attached to the service, as appropriate and in consultation with the All Ages Services Director.
3. Maintain and develop skills in the area of professional competencies.
