Role: School Caretaker
Rate of pay: £450 – £600 P/W – Dependant on experience
Location: Edgbaston, Birmingham
About the role
Connex Education is seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to maintain a clean, safe, and secure school environment. Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, routine maintenance, site management, and supervising external contractors. The role also involves opening and closing the premises, ensuring health and safety, supporting building projects within set parameters, and facilitating out-of-hours building use. Additionally, the caretaker will oversee site development planning and ensure repair areas do not pose safety or security risks.

Role Requirements
* Maths and English GCSE C/4 or above.
* Previous experience working in Schools is essential.
* An understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
* 2 Previous employment references.
* Comfortable with flexible working hours to suit the needs of the school.
* Strong maintenance, communication, and organisation skills.
* Commitment to ensuring the school remains safe and secure for attending pupils.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Connex Education.
