Volunteer and Work Placement Co-ordinator
The post holder will be expected to work at a high level, to develop, promote, organise and manage a range of voluntary/work placement services at a corporate level across the organisation. The post holder will also hold overall management responsibility for the recruitment, placement and ongoing development of volunteers at the Trust. This will include developing and implementing effective volunteering policies and establishing and leading on processes for volunteer training and development programmes. The post holder will also take a lead role in developing and managing systems for organising all non-clinical work students, university work experience/work placement programmes at the Trust.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide day to day leadership and management for all voluntary services across the organisation.
2. Develop, manage, and embed volunteering schemes, ensuring alignment with local action plans and organisational goals.
3. Lead and implement strategies for the effective recruitment, placement, and development of volunteers and peer supporters.
4. Develop volunteer job profiles and role descriptions, ensuring suitability and risk assessments for placements.
5. Ensure all volunteers are trained, supported, and indemnified to carry out their roles effectively.
6. Plan and manage work experience and university placement programmes, ensuring placements are safe and compliant with Trust standards.
7. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to voluntary services and work placements.
8. Monitor and report on the financial impact of volunteering activities, including travel expenses and programme outcomes.
9. Ensure clear and effective communication with a wide range of audiences, tailoring information to suit the needs of service users, carers, and staff.

3. Perform any additional duties relevant to the role and commensurate with the grade and responsibilities.
