West Midlands Trains delivers around 1,300 train journeys a day, for more than 60 million passengers a year, across our two brands - West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern Railway. As part of this investment we are looking to recruit a Resourcing Business Partner, on a full-time, permanent basis, based in Birmingham 2-3 days a week. What does the job involve? Ensuring recruitment needs are resourced effectively and efficiently – both ad-hoc vacancies and recruitment campaigns Providing professional, expert recruitment advice to stakeholders and team members Overseeing vacancy progress and ensuring vacancy data is tracked and used to inform your decision making Managing a mixture of volume and niche vacancies Owning the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle from initial recruitment brief to candidate onboarding Supporting the resourcing team by upskilling team members and improving ways of working Helping build on, and evolve, current recruitment processes Attend workforce planning meetings and other industry forums – bringing recruitment knowledge and insight to the discussions Work closely with the training team, HR colleagues and wider line management population on all things recruitment What skills and experience do I need to do the job? Significant, practical in-house recruitment experience, gained in a multi-site, matrix environment - working across high volume recruitment campaigns. Good stakeholder management skills Prioritisation and organisational skills – able to manage conflicting priorities and ensure delivery Good attention to detail – spotting issues before they become problems The ability to create and work to a plan – factoring changes that might be needed along the way Solid Excel skills along with previous experience of applicant tracking/ HR systems You need to be comfortable with an admin heavy role – this position requires a high level of compliance Work closely with the Snr Resourcing Manager to evolve the service delivery and long term strategy for the team What are the salary and benefits?
