Job Title:Cleaner Directorate:Organisational Development and Administration Department: Administration Location: City Hall, Bangor Castle Reports to:Customer Services Manager/ Town Hall Supervisor Salary Scale: Scale 1B Hours of Work:15 Hours per week Car User Status: Casual PURPOSE AND FUNCTION OF THE POST To undertake daily general cleaning of designated areas as required. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To undertake, either individually or as part of a team, the cleaning of all designated areas in the facility, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times. The areas may include offices, toilets, public areas and associated accommodation. To use the appropriate equipment and materials supplied. To assist in the preparation of the facility for events. To work within Council and statutory health and safety guidelines at all times, and to ensure safety, child protection and other standards are maintained. To perform all duties in accordance with the agreed Council policies and operating procedures. To provide the highest standards of customer care at all times. To report any defects to your line manager. To comply with and promote equality, health and safety in accordance with Council Policies and legal requirement. To undertake any other appropriate duties as may be allocated from time to time in accordance with the general nature of the post.
