Junior Sales Support Executive

The Job Role:
As a Junior Sales Support Executive, you will be responsible for supporting the Sales and Procurement departments with various duties to fulfill customer orders and maintain continuity of supply.
Location: Evesham – Office Based role
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am - 5.00pm (with some flexibility to cover holidays).
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Manage the sales admin function and progress into the Sales role function within our wholesale department.
2. Generate purchase and sales orders into the computer system.
3. Maintain and generate items and suppliers in the system.
4. Organise collections and distribution of goods with our haulier.
5. Communicate with finance and sales admin team regarding customer payments and credit limits.
6. Verify depot stock levels and availability at source.
7. Plan and forecast produce quantities required to ensure sufficient stock is procured to fulfill orders and avoid wastage.
8. Establish supplier volumes through crop planning to ensure continuous supply.
9. Examine and assess all consignments and effectuate the claim process where required.
10. Reconcile, analyse and investigate stock movement and discrepancies to ensure correct invoicing and service levels.
11. Organise and negotiate with internal and third-party stakeholders to ensure quality levels on arrival and maintain planned cost prices.
12. Promote, develop and manage customer relationships to maintain sales and uphold our supplier reputation.
13. Maintain awareness of costs within the supply chain to increase profit margins.
Candidate Skills and Requirements:
1. GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
2. Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
3. Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
4. Driving Licence (preferred)
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Numerate with excellent negotiation and organisational abilities.
7. Able to cope well under pressure.
8. Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
9. Customer focused and able to work to tight deadlines.
10. Flexible with some weekend cover required.
11. Demonstrate self-confidence and professionalism.
12. Able to work both in a team and on own initiative.
13. Mobile – able to visit markets and suppliers in the UK and globally.
