We’re looking for a dynamic EY Apprenticeship Tutor to mentor, train, and inspire apprentices in the Early Years Education sector (Levels 2 to 5). What You’ll Be Doing Shaping Futures: Travel to nursery and school settings within the Bury St Edmunds area to provide tailored, in-person training and support. When not traveling, deliver high-quality training remotely (not from a center). Conduct skills reviews with apprentices and employers to identify learning needs. Develop personalized training plans and provide expert workplace observations. Deliver engaging, high-quality training, including functional skills, ensuring apprentices excel in their programs. Assess skills and behaviors, offering constructive feedback through an ePortfolio system. Empowering Learners: Deliver tailored workplace training on Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviors. Support with Functional Skills English & Maths when needed. Provide tutorials on safeguarding, Prevent, British Values, mental health, personal development, and more. Host remote webinars and inspire apprentices with training on career guidance and well-being. Driving Success: Manage a caseload of 35 learners, increasing to 45 after passing probation. Monitor and support candidate progress, ensuring timely completion of portfolios and assessments. Work closely with employers to provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and foster strong professional relationships. Support apprentices through their End Point Assessment process, ensuring a smooth journey to success. Key Details Travel: You’ll travel to learners’ workplaces (nursery or school settings) within a 2-hour radius from your home. Unlike many roles, there’s no national travel requirement Mileage: Reimbursed at 45p per mile. Remote Delivery: When not traveling, all admin will be delivered remotely. Flexibility: Enjoy autonomy in managing your diary and scheduling visits to suit your workflow. Location of Learners: All learners are Cornwall-based. What We’re Looking For To thrive in this role, you’ll need: An Assessor’s qualification. A qualification in Early Years. At least one year’s experience in a similar position. Access to a car for travel. Transitioning Nursery Managers or Early Years Teachers: If you’re an experienced Nursery Manager or Early Years Teacher (Level 5 qualification required), we offer the chance to earn your Assessor’s qualification while on the job.
