Description The Asset Management and Compliance Programme, the largest programme at Heathrow, involves the replacement or renewal of engineering, technology, and commercial assets across the Heathrow estate; it also ensures that assets are compliant to regulatory or statutory requirements throughout the service offering at the airport. Our partnership at Heathrow continues to grow and as such the Costain Heathrow team are looking for a Site Engineer to work on a night shift to monitor the construction of the cladding in the tunnel each night as part of the Q6 Cladding installation works in the Main CTA Tunnel at Heathrow Airport within the ARP portfolio. The CTA tunnel is one of Heathrow’s most important assets and links the Central Terminal Area to the M25 and M4 spur to the north. The project is currently in a position where the programme has maturity and the cladding installation date is approaching. This role requires a strong, experienced and hardworking engineer to help the team through a collaborative approach with our Client and Supply Chain to deliver this important project on time, safely and in budget. This position offers up the opportunity to demonstrate Costain’s capability and values to grow the Costain account at Heathrow to ensure a future pipeline of work for our organisation and growing talent within the team. LI-JK1 Responsibilities Oversee the diverse work scope, collaborating with supervision to streamline operations efficiently. Take charge of short-term programming and sequencing, aligning with the main project schedule. Efficiently manage day and night shift activities for effective program delivery. Lead our approach to health, safety, sustainability, and the environment, prioritising personal safety and well-being. Ensure permits, RAMS, and QA documents are in place and completed as required for your works. Promote efficiency and ongoing productivity improvements, establishing best practices for the team and delivering added value for our customer. Understand and Champion the Heathrow “One team” ethos. Qualifications Essential Civil engineering qualification and practical delivery experience. Civil engineering qualification SMSTS CSCS Good record keeping and awareness of the importance of records. G ood at working in teams with other engineers, supervisors and supply chain partners to achieve your teams’ tasks. Confident to ask questions to ensure you understand your tasks and raise concerns or challenge anything you don’t believe to be right out on site. Able to identify opportunities to improve our quality and productivity through best practice, process improvements and continuous improvement practices. Able to work and learn quickly in a fast paced, fun and dynamic environment. Care about doing a great job and exceeding expectations with the quality of what you do.
