The University is seeking to appoint a Financial Co-ordinator within the Treasury Function. The main activities include:
1. Domestic and international payments
2. Allocation of bank receipts
3. Reconciliation of card payments and online store transactions
4. Bank reconciliations
5. Suspense account monitoring and investigation
There will be a high degree of interaction with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Research Finance, Procurement and HR Payroll Functions as well as the wider University community.

You will be a self-motivated, responsible individual who is excellent at time and priority management and good at communicating and building relationships with colleagues at different levels. You must be organised, have good attention to detail and be able to work accurately and professionally at all times. You will be a good team player, flexible and adaptable in your approach and you will possess a very good level of proficiency in IT systems including Microsoft Office.
You will want to work in an environment with many and varied challenges and a desire to help drive improvements to processes and standards. Excellent verbal and written communication is key with the ability to listen carefully and be responsive in working with others toward achieving a solution.
Ideally, you will have previous accounting knowledge gained through experience and/or through academic study and experience of working with an accounting system and online banking. Ideally, we are looking for someone who is studying for, or has a willingness to study for, an agreed accountancy qualification.

The Finance function aims to deliver the strategic objectives of the University with a clear focus on customer service.

This is a full time, permanent position with a starting salary of £32,271 per annum.
