Equans is looking for an Energy Centre Apprentice to join our team in Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth on an apprenticeship contract basis. This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £22, per annum and benefits package.

What will you deliver?
1. Support the Estates Management in the provision of a 24hr maintenance service within the Portsmouth Hospital Trust
2. Promote a culture of customer service to both internal and external customers and partners
3. To assist craftsperson/s with 2 person tasks and where Health & Safety reasons require a second person
4. After suitable training and guidance assist to, diagnose faults, repair and maintain complex equipment in accordance with PSSR and other specialised heating plant
5. Carry out the work of other trades where there is an interface to the work in hand with a level of competence thats outside core trade
6. To work safely on steam and hot water systems
7. Work in unpleasant working conditions, steam ducts and confined spaces
8. Carry out routine boiler tests and maintenance tasks, after suitable training
9. To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities
10. Work towards City and Guilds steam maintenance, BOAS, qualification

Who are we looking for?
22. 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above (or equivalents) including Maths, English and Science (Essential)

This role includes a standard DBS check therefore ability to pass is essential.
