This London-based role will be responsible for working alongside video editors and producers on: - Record and capture of existing app/game footage and editing it into a compelling short video
- Logging and organizing footage Generating final picture & audio prep
- Exporting deliverables in a variety of formats
- Building selects reels and sizzles Music and Sound Effect research
- Preparing video edits for presentations
- Capturing in-situ recordings of live video upon launch Project archiving
The assistant editor role will support a range of briefs, encompassing projects utilizing game capture, to original, short form live action, and branded motion graphics animation content across our media services. This role will require working on a range of deliverables across multiple product, content, experiential and communication platforms while collaborating with other creative teams to deliver compelling original content, across multiple geos. The ideal candidate have a real passion for gaming, storytelling, design, media and technology.
Key Qualifications - Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, FCPX, Media Encoder, Compressor. General understanding of post-production workflows. Experience in supporting applications such as After Effects, Photoshop, Resolve. An understanding of compression guidelines to meet proper delivery specifications. An interest in mobile gaming and iOS game culture. Ability to work as a creative partner to the editor: judging and selecting the best footage, doing an initial edit. Understanding of, and ability to run the creative review process. Knowing how to address creative notes (directly/indirectly) so as not to destroy the underlying structure of what works well. Ability to maintain a highly organized project, from initial edit through various localization deliveries. Comfortable with both live action and animation storytelling. Understanding of deliverables across multi-platforms and aspect ratios. Passion for story structure and an eye for detail. Forethought for the end-users’ experience. Strong collaboration skills, team-focused. Proactive and problem-solving mindset; ability to work alone and deliver results. Understanding of time management and project breakdown. Ability to simplify communication (verbally and as a visual storyteller)
