Job summary The purpose of this role is to undertake radiotherapy interventions at a team leaderlevel to the highest professional and technical standards, working with Medical,Radiographic, Physics and Administrative colleagues, within the Radiotherapy team. Main duties of the job As a team leader radiotherapy radiographer working as part of the radiotherapy team, you will be under the supervision of the appropriate Operational Manager preparing and delivering radiotherapy using highly specialist equipment. You will regularly participate in all aspects of radiotherapy activities and your role will focus on the management of your area of expertise.As a key element of the role, the post holder will provide information, education, practical and emotional support to patients and carers during their radiotherapyepisode. There may be the opportunity to participate in a rotational role within clinicalgovernance, education or treatment co-ordination.The Royal Surrey Cancer Centre Radiotherapy Department is based at the RoyalSurrey County Hospital in Guildford and operates a satellite service from the EastSurrey Hospital in Redhill.
