In this role, 70% of the position will be working on IT infrastructure projects such as SharePoint migration, Windows 11 migration, Office 365 apps, and Intune on-premise devices. The other 30% will involve analysis, dealing with business processes, using Power BI to create reports, and offering alternative solutions to problems based on data.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. An infrastructure background working with technologies such as Microsoft 365, on-premise server Windows Server, SQL Server, SCCM Server, and SharePoint.
2. Exposure to data analytics and Power BI.

The role:
1. To provide day-to-day support, advice, and guidance to all users of MDDC, according to defined priorities and service level agreements. Working with other ICT Team members where appropriate, logging and recording resolutions of all calls using the Service Desk system.
2. To achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
3. To diagnose hardware and software faults, liaising with external suppliers as necessary, implementing solutions to problems, and maintaining and creating all necessary documentation including diagrams, procedures, and training guides.
4. To promote and maintain a high level of data security for all council systems and networks, achieving PSN compliance annually.
5. To maintain an inventory of hardware, software, and configuration items, and carry out installations and configurations as directed.
6. To maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies through research and training, and evaluate where appropriate.
7. To provide technical advice in liaison with external suppliers.
8. To provide project management or project support for ICT related projects.
The person:
1. Candidates must have a strong IT infrastructure background.
2. Experience with Microsoft 365, on-premise server Windows Server, SQL Server, SCCM Server, and SharePoint.
3. Exposure to data analytics and Power BI.
