Mechanical Engineer
£48,200 per annum
Location: Wrexham
Shift Pattern: Continental Days & Nights (2 Days/2 Nights/4 Off with both 10 and 18 day breaks)
gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Engineer to work at their facility based near Wrexham.
Performance Objectives
* Execute mechanical activities on-site as directed.
* Perform all planned maintenance tasks, changeovers, and additional work as required by the engineering manager.
* Diagnose breakdown faults - mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process.
* Ensure compliance with safety requirements and liaise with other departments as required.
* Ensure equipment, materials, and tools are on-hand for work execution.
* Report resources and time utilized, job scope expansion, rework, or deferred maintenance as required while keeping all tasks and activities logged and updated.
* Troubleshoot equipment problems and conduct basic root cause analysis and development of solutions.
* Provide technical support for all machine breakdowns and changeovers.
Person Specification
* Apprentice trained to ONC / HNC / C&G Level 3.
* Able to read hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
* Ability to read and produce mechanical drawings.
* Experience in carrying out PPM on mechanical equipment.
* Experience with TPM, 6S, Continuous Improvement, and Lean methodologies.
* Electrical and mechanical ability essential.
* Complex problem-solving and fault-finding experience.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work and learn independently.
