To provide high quality legal and procedural advice and legal services to the Corporate Debt team in the most effective and efficient way to maximise amounts recovered on such matters as you are assigned by the Head of Transactional Services, Head of Legal Services, Corporate Debt Team Leader or Legal Manager Litigation. The position will be a grade or depending on experience.

Competence in giving strategic and technical advice to officers on more complex matters and legal aspects of any given situation.
Competence in acting as the lead legal adviser to the Corporate Debt Team, Client Finance Team and Adult Social Care team on contentious and non-contentious matters.
Ability to lead transformation activity and manage organisational change and development within a financial/performance/ commercial environment.
Good commercial acumen.
Proven track record in finance commercial and/or performance environment.
Demonstrable record of completed projects of an original and technically challenging nature.
Case Work
Excellent legal drafting and negotiation skills.
Demonstrate competence in managing complex cases including drafting proceedings and agreements, researching points of law, conducting advocacy and negotiating settlements.
Significant experience of conducting litigation and enforcement action.
Excellent record keeping
Good understanding of the work of the client teams.
Supervision
Working with minimal supervision on complex matters
Experience leading legal surgeries between with the Corporate Debt Team, Client Finance Team and Adult Social Care Team.
Client Care
Must be in receipt of satisfactory client feedback
In Order to progress from grade (Revenue Services Legal Officer) to grade (Revenue Services Lawyer) the postholder must demonstrate that they are performing at or near to the level expected of the higher grade. Please see the attached progression document for further information.
