Residential Support Worker (Children's Services)

Salary: £12.50 - £15.00 per hour
Full-time/Part-time: Agency shifts

Role Overview:
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support children with daily routines, promote their emotional and social development, and help them build life skills in a safe, nurturing environment. You will work as part of a team to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the children, helping them to reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide care, emotional support, and daily assistance to children.
2. Support personal care, mealtimes, schoolwork, and activities.
3. Promote independence, positive behaviour, and life skills.
4. Work with the team to create and implement care plans.
5. Ensure the safety of children, adhering to safeguarding protocols.
6. Build positive, trusting relationships with the children.
Ideal Candidate:
1. At least 12 months of experience working within a residential setting.
2. NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People Workforce (or equivalent).
3. Compassionate, patient, and able to manage challenging behaviors.
4. Strong communication skills and a commitment to child protection.
5. Flexible, reliable, and proactive team player.
