Main duties of the job The Paediatric spinal team are delighted to be offering a secondment for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Band 6/7 Nurse Specialist to join the team at Southampton Children's Hospital. We are very much a nurse led service, providing care, guidance, support and education, therefore it is essential that the candidate has experience working within a Paediatric spinal setting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop specialist skills and become a competent member of our team; they will have extensive support from our nurses and clinicians. Some of this development will be through participating in joint consultant and nurse-led clinics where they will learn how children and young people are clinically assessed, diagnosed and treatment options discussed. As well as ward based work and general management of the service including the waiting list. Specific to this role we are open to discussing flexibility in the hours that you work.
