Essential Responsibilities & Tasks
1. Enthusiastically interact with guests through all points of contact: reservation booking, the initial welcome, hosting, packaging of wine purchases and delivery to their vehicle, confirming appropriate shipment details, and post-visit engagement via phone and written communications.
2. Simultaneously host multiple tables, ensuring each visitor feels valued and welcome.
3. Educate guests about the Drouhin's history and values in a warm, personable, and professional manner.
4. Efficiently and effectively promote wine sales through world-class hospitality and meaningful storytelling.
5. Convert visitors into lifelong loyalists while hosting one-on-one, private seated tastings.
6. Execute opening and closing procedures (stocking, cleaning, glass buffing, detailed upkeep, etc.)
7. Contribute to maintaining a clean and attractive environment (front and back of the house areas).
8. Successfully execute detailed sales and reservation transactions within TOCK & Commerce7 (industry-specific software).
9. Assist with a variety of additional tasting room tasks as needed, including some evening events.
Schedule and Availability
1. This is a part-time position with shifts available on weekdays, weekends, and occasional evenings.
2. We offer shifts daily and can offer one to five shifts per week.
3. We are looking to hire and begin training immediately.
4. Ideal candidates would be available to work a minimum of four shifts monthly.
5. We provide a minimum of 20 hours of in-depth paid training to ensure team members are fully versed with our story, style, compliance regulations, software programs, and elevated service standards.
Qualifications
1. You must be a positive team player with excellent customer service skills and a 'can do' attitude.
2. Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required.
3. A background in providing superior customer service is essential.
4. Flexible schedules are required, including weekends and occasional evenings.
5. Experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred; strategic multi-tasking is compulsory.
6. Must be able to work efficiently with our POS and reservation software.
7. Professional dress is required.
8. Applicants must be 21, have an OLCC permit and Food Handler Card, and have reliable transportation.
9. Physical requirements include standing for up to eight hours at a time, the ability to lift 40lbs, and working throughout our four-level gravity flow winery.
