Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Stockport Council, Children's Support Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
1. Stockport Children's Services are looking for experienced agency social workers for positions within a locality social work team and the school-based pilot scheme, which has recently received national backing by the DfE.
2. Manage a case load.
3. The work is varied, with social workers holding cases from the point of assessment to closure or permanence.
4. Social workers work within a framework of Restorative Practice and our model seeks to minimise transitions for families, instead focusing on building relationships.
5. Liaise with other professionals.
6. 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
7. 3 month Temporary Contract.
8. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.
