This is an exceptional opportunity for an outstanding leader to shape the student support and wellbeing strategy at Macclesfield
College.
As a key member of the leadership team and working in close collaboration with the Principal, Deputy Principal, and other senior
leaders, the Director of Student Services will set and embed a culture of excellence in student experience. They will be
responsible for leading all aspects of student support, including wellbeing, safeguarding, enrichment, careers, and learning
support, ensuring students have the guidance they need to thrive.
The successful candidate will demonstrate experience in driving impactful student services, developing a student-centred culture,
and working collaboratively to enhance the overall college experience. They will inspire and develop teams, ensuring that every
student at Macclesfield College is empowered to achieve their full potential.

The Role
You will lead a First-Class student experience and be directly responsible for the development, effectiveness and quality of
service for the following key areas:
* Safeguarding, Student Welfare & Pastoral Services
* Careers Advice & Guidance
* Additional Learning Support
* Enrichment and Student Voice
* Library Services
Main Duties for this role include
* To lead cross College services for all aspects of student support including Additional Learning Support, behaviour and
discipline, personal development tutorial and guidance, support to enable student progression, safeguarding, the PREVENT agenda
and the embedding of Fundamental British Values, careers and welfare, and a strong student voice, participation and enrichment
offer.
* Fulfil the role of ‘Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead’ (SDSL). You will be responsible for the line management and support of
the ‘Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) supporting the embedding of safeguarding policy and procedures to ensure the
safeguarding of all learners on campus (and off campus whilst completing work related activity)
* To ensure the highest quality provision of student support, welfare and pastoral support services for students leading to
students feeling safe, supported and able to complete their chosen course of study.
* To ensure Student Service provision is effectively promoted, differentiated where appropriate, and accessible to all students.
