Justteachers is offering an opportunity for a History Teacher who is looking for a short-term role in a Secondary school in the Preston area on a full-time basis. The role is set to commence in September 2025, with shortlisting currently underway.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
* Delivering engaging History lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Planning and preparing lessons that meet curriculum standards and student needs
* Assessing student progress through regular feedback, marking, and exam preparation
* Supporting students in developing critical thinking, research, and analytical skills
* Differentiating instruction to accommodate students of all abilities
* Managing classroom behaviour to maintain a positive learning environment
* Collaborating with colleagues to develop and improve the History curriculum
* Engaging in professional development to stay up-to-date with educational best practices
* Organising and leading extracurricular activities, such as History trips or clubs
* Maintaining strong communication with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
* Relevant qualifications
* Proven experience of teaching History up to KS4
* Strong knowledge of other Humanities subjects
* Two education or school-based references
