We need a committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Stechford. If you have experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) and are passionate about making a positive impact, we'd love to hear from you.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Working closely with students on the autism spectrum, both verbal and non-verbal, you will provide tailored support to help them reach their full potential in a setting that prioritises their holistic development.
- Provide individualised support to students with a range of needs, both within the classroom and during other activities.
- Assist pupils in understanding and following instructions from teachers.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning, either in the classroom or within the learning support department.
- Monitor and record pupil progress to contribute to their development plans and ensure continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in a teaching or teaching assistant role.
- A background in supporting children with SEN, particularly those with ADD/ADHD and autism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- An adaptable and flexible approach to working in a dynamic environment.
- The right to work in the UK.
- An enhanced DBS certificate with child-barred list clearance registered on the online update service, or a willingness to apply for one.
- Two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
