International consumer business headquartered close to Bristol has a newly created role for a Group Reporting Accountant to join its Group Finance team. We are seeking applications from suitably qualified Financial Accounting/Reporting profiles with likely 0-2yrs PQE. The successful candidate will develop strong relationships with key stakeholder, including Business Unit Finance teams, Investor Relations and the Group’s external auditors, and they will work to continuously improve the consolidation and external reporting process and deliverables.
Operating a hybrid working week combining office and remote working, the office continues to be where they connect, collaborate and innovate – therefore we’d be looking for 3 days in office every week.
Role
Working as part of a high performing financial control team, you will deliver high-quality Group consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial, statutory and regulatory reporting deliverables to both internal and external stakeholders in compliance with IFRS. Championing and supporting the Group Financial Controller in developing a continuous improvement culture utilising external insights and best practice, you will also support the tax, legal and treasury departments in implementing long-term tax planning initiatives and working capital management.
About You
A fully qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent) with likely 0-2yrs post-qualified experience, you will be comfortable preparing financial statements under IFRS/UK GAAP and managing multi-currency consolidation processes. With a track record of managing audits autonomously, acting as the key point of contact and managing the end-to-end process, you will have a proven ability to deliver complex projects, develop processes that can scale, and improve finance systems.
