This role will work to engage with Aboriginal students and families in three identified primary schools.
The role will hold a workload reflective of the seniority of the role, being capable of working with a higher case load and more complex cases.
The Kinship Care Program works with Aboriginal children and families, providing Kinship Case Contracted Services of children on protective orders and who are placed long-term with their extended families.
Position Details
Position: Permanent, Part time (3 days a week)
Location: Dandenong
Salary: $82,045 to $88,277, pro-rata, plus super based on qualifications and experience.
This role will have the opportunity to make a real-life difference in the lives of Aboriginal children and families involved in the child protection system.
This role will work closely with the parent/carer, family unit, key partners, and stakeholders to provide an integrated response to address the identified support needs of Aboriginal children and families.

This role will be working in partnership with child protection to ensure the rights and best interests of Aboriginal children are upheld and maintained.
You will provide individualised, effective, efficient, gender-specific, and client-centred casework and case management services to YTC clients whilst in Custody and as they transition out of Custody.

The Family Violence Program manager is an established leadership position within VACCA. The position will be part of the relevant VACCA area-based leadership group which is led by an Executive Manager to whom this position reports directly.
