Project Overview:
We are looking for a Tableau Specialist to join our Surveillance & Monitoring team, responsible for analyzing trading activity and business communications to detect potential market abuse. This role will focus on building impactful analytics and visualizations to enhance the effectiveness of the surveillance program. Your creativity in producing meaningful and visually compelling dashboards will be central to the product line, helping translate complex datasets into user-friendly insights.
In addition to developing high-quality visualizations, you will take a leading role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and quality of the data used within the surveillance framework. You'll also be involved in data mapping, product ownership of the surveillance system, and ensuring adequate surveillance coverage. Key Responsibilities:
* Develop effective visualizations that clearly communicate key information.
* Own the surveillance product line and manage the related work.
* Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to understand their requirements.
* Ensure that data is complete, accurate, and utilized sustainably.
* Create MI, KPIs, and KRIs to enhance surveillance and governance.
* Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to ensure proper data mapping and coverage.
* Produce documentation and procedures to support the visualizations.
* Build and maintain a consistent team brand through visualizations.
* Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in Tableau and visualizations.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven track record of creating effective visualizations across a variety of subjects.
* Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data normalization, and blending.
* Proficiency in query and reporting analysis tools, and Excel (macros, pivot tables, etc.).
* Extensive experience with Tableau dashboards and analytics, with working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.
* Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
* Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and within a team.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience with SAP Web Intelligence and Power BI is a plus.
* Knowledge of commodity trading or market abuse is advantageous but not required.
