Job summary An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Support Worker to join the Endoscopy team at Maidstone Hospital. We are looking for a keen; reliable member of staff to join us in our busy, friendly Endoscopy department. You will need to be able to communicate effectively and deliver a high standard of care in a time orientated process. This will also require you to be flexible, hardworking and reliable. Main duties of the job The Senior Endoscopy Support Worker will participate, and support the members of the multi-disciplinary team, in delivering high quality patient care under the supervision of the Registered Practitioner. The main responsibility will be leading the daily decontamination team, ensuring the decontamination of the various endoscopes and other specialised endoscopic equipment (including maintenance and traceability) is performed as per Trust policy. The role exists to provide a multi-skilled worker who undertakes a range of delegated duties under the indirect supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
